HSUHK co-organises Asia Sustainability and ESG Summit

The 2nd Asia Sustainability and ESG Summit was held from 5-6 December 2024 in Bali, Indonesia. The Summit was co-organised by HSUHK’s Research Centre for ESG (CESG) and the Centre for Environmental, Social, and Governance Studies of Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia.

In his opening message video, Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), expressed that it is important for HSUHK to lead the promotion of academic research and provide opportunities to share research findings and practical insights in area of ESG and sustainability in the Asian context. He is pleased to see that the CESG is collaborating with overseas universities to create a valuable platform for scholars engaged in ESG research.

Three Best Papers Awards and two Emerging Scholar Awards were given and over 60 papers from 12 countries and regions were presented at the Summit. The Summit brought together participants from 48 universities, including academics, PhD students, industry executives, government officials and NGO professionals to learn about the latest developments in ESG.
