Professor Carver studied law at the University of Cambridge where she received her BBA (Hons) and MA.
Afterwards, she taught at the University of Hong Kong in the Faculty of Law for 20 years as a Senior Lecturer and specialised in Commercial, Contract and Company Law. In 2005 she moved to the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she helped establish the Chinese University’s new School of Law.
As a Professional Consultant, Anne taught Business Law, Commercial and Company Law. She also taught Legal Research and Writing and University Essay Writing Skills to undergraduates and postgraduates. Additionally, she helped to set up the Law and Translation Double Degree which has proved immensely popular with law students. She also taught a General Education Course “The Culture of the Common Law” to non-lawyers as part of the Chinese University’s General Education programme.
Of particular interest is Anne’s production of a 4-year film “Student Voices”, a film that she made for the Chinese University’s Faculty of Law of the Founding LLB students’ 4-year undergraduate journey and their transition to the world of work.
Anne’s research interests also include Corporate Governance, Risk Management in the context of business and Public Health Law in Hong Kong.
