Dr Chui has been a practitioner in the investment banking industry since mid-1980s and has worked in capital market areas with various financial institutions in the UK and HK. During this period, he has held the positions of senior arbitrage trader, head of derivative product specialist group, head of capital market derivatives structuring and head of financial products. In 2012, Dr Chui co-founded a hedge fund advisory partnership specialising in CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor) strategy and in recent time has extended into Qianhai, China. This connection with the industry has enabled the current pulse and state-of-the-art technology in the financial market to be brought into academic practice.
