Aileen received her PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, UK in 2009. Before joining HSU, Dr Aileen Hou was an acting assistant and the acting programme leader of the Information and Communications Technology programme of THEi. Before that, she had been conducting applied research in Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) as a Senior Lead Engineer on 3G, 4G and 5G mobile communication systems. She also had working experience in Shenzhen University, IBM and Alcatel-Lucent with research focuses on V2X, Smart City, 5G, Network Optimization and Machine Learning.
