This module covers some techniques in mathematical and statistical computing. It helps students develop ability to solve insurance-related business problems using software such as EXCEL; Access; and others. Students will apply these techniques to real life problems; case studies; and projects.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. formulate a business problem and manage a database;


2. use operations and functions of computer software to simulate basic financial situations; and


3. perform computing analysis and financial planning.
