5 January 2019
The School of Communication held its first Alumni Gathering on 5 Jan 2019. More than 60 alumni returned to their alma mater on this day not only to catch up with their friends and teachers, but also to take this opportunity to celebrate the university title received by HSUHK.
Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of School of Communication, extended her warmest welcome to the participating graduates and gave a brief update on the latest news of the University. Professor James Chang, Associate Dean of School of Communication also shared with the graduates the latest developments of the School and its three programmes, namely the BJC programme which all the participating alumni graduated from, and the BA-CMCT programme and the MA-SC programme, with last one being launched fairly recently.
An organising committee for the Alumni Association of School of Communication, comprised of representatives from different years of graduation nominated by fellow schoolmates, was formed. The committee was tasked with establishing an Alumni Association for the School of Communication in the near future to enhance the relationship between the alumni and the School and the University, and to build up the influence of the alumni in society.
