Following the e-Sports Competition, the second event of the Council Chairman Bowl, Fitness Challenge, was held for student residents and staff of Residential Colleges (RC) from 19 to 23 November 2020 to promote regular exercising and keeping fit.
To maintain social distancing, the event was changed from the traditional format of physical fitness competition to the one that using a mobile app to calculate and log the total numbers of steps of individual participants. After calculating the accumulative activity figures of all participants, Mosaic College won the competition with more than 700,000 steps in total. The first runner-up went to S H Ho Wellness College, followed by Patrick S C Poon Amity College and Evergreen College. Mr Sze-yuen Chan from Mosaic College, who contributed a total of 250,000 steps with an average of 50,000 steps per day, was the participant with the highest number of individual steps. He outperformed other 36 competitors and helped Mosaic College win the competition. Ms Ying-tong Wei from S H Ho Wellness College ranked the second with a total of 220,000 steps.
Apart from the participation from students, other RC members such as RC Masters, Resident Tutors and RC Fellows also took part in the Challenge to fight for the glory of their respective RCs.
