In order to improve the quality of teaching and promote students’ diversified learning, the School of Communication (SCOM) has always actively encouraged teachers to innovate in classroom teaching. On 9 and 16 November 2021, SCOM Associate Professor (Practice) Dr James Chang led the students of the module Political Communication, who were from different departments, to visit the SCOM Cinema and TV Production Centre, Radio Broadcast Training Centre and Multimedia Training Centre of SCOM, with the aim of enhancing their understanding of how politicians and political influencers make use of traditional media and new media to boost their visibility and gain support from voters and audiences. Not only were the students deeply impressed by the novel equipment and facilities of the School during the visit, but they also gained a deeper understanding of the media’s communication capacity.
