Two teams of HSMC students participated in the “Hong Kong Undergraduate Financial Planners of the Year Award 2017” organised by the Society of Registered Financial Planners and received First Runner-up award and Certificate of Merits respectively.
The competition is open to full-time undergraduate students of regional universities, including those in Hong Kong and Macau. This year, over 200 contestants from 62 teams joined. After three rounds of rigorous competitions, a four-member team formed by BBA-Banking and Finance Year 3 students finished First Runner-up and another four-member team formed by BBA-Accounting and BA-ENG students was selected as one of the top 13 teams to receive a Certificate of Merits in compilation of professional financial proposal. HSMC students had a good track record in this renowned competition. Last year, a HSMC team was selected as one of the top 12 finalists.
