This is the second in the two talks on common mistakes in language use in Hong Kong, where translation mainly involves Chinese and English. We can learn considerably about English usage from translation examples naturally occurring in our surroundings, especially the mistakes found in or caused by translation. Issues in language usage are particularly noticeable when we translate. Let’s explore together what we can learn from translation on the English side of the story!
