The School of Communication (SCOM) Alumni Busking Party took place on 22 July with over 80 participants in attendance, including alumni. Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of SCOM; Professor Ronald Chiu, Associate Dean of SCOM; and fellow SCOM professors and lecturers joined the gathering.
SCOM is a constant hub of vitality. On top of focusing on academics, SCOM’s academic staff and students also possess a vibrant and talented side that they enjoy expressing at events such as the SCOM Alumni Busking Party alongside sharing their experiences.
At the Party, local and overseas students shared how new media skills acquired from their studies at SCOM have helped them develop their careers in the fields of journalism, pop culture and public relations.
The Party was brought to life with singing, dancing and sharing experiences by alumni and students. SCOM teachers’ performances made the Party even more enjoyable. Professor Tso performed for the first time in a public setting by singing a song alongside Professor Chiu, who played the piano. The performance was a happy surprise for the audience who loved the performance.
