Representatives of Lam Tai Fai College, including Dr Lam Tai Fai, Supervisor of Incorporated Management Committee; Mr Tam Yat Yuk, Principal; Mr Ivan Kwok, Deputy Principal; and a group of teachers and students, visited the School of Communication on 10 October 2020. The guests were warmly received by Professor Scarlet Tso, Associate Vice-President (Communications and Public Affairs) and Dean of the School of Communication; and Professor Ronald Chiu, Professor (Practice) of the School of Communication.
Professor Tso delivered a welcome speech, providing the guests with a brief overview of the School and its latest development as well as an introduction to the three programmes the School currently offers. Guided by Technical Officers of the School, the guests visited the state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities of the School where practical training takes place, including the Multi-media Training Centre, the Radio Broadcast Training Centre, the Multi-media Laboratory, the TV Lab, and the TV Studio. Student works were also showcased for the guests to have a more thorough understanding about the learning outcomes of the School’s teaching and training.
The guests then took a tour of the campus, visiting various facilities including Lam Tai Fai Clock Tower, a landmark of HSUHK which was named after Dr Lam in recognition of his generous donation to the University. They also visited the library and other sports and recreation facilities.
