A “Product Carbon Footprint Workshop II – Beverage Product Carbon Footprint – Mapping, Calculation and Tools” was held on 13 Feb 2017 (Mon). This half-day workshop was organised by the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management (SCM) under a funding research project supported by the Research Grants Council. The project aims to develop a novel methodology for assessing the life-cycle carbon footprints of Hong Kong beverage products along the supply chain.
Ir Dr William Lau, Principal Consultant from Sinfa Consulting Limited and previous Technical Director of Energy & Carbon Services Department from SGS Hong Kong Limited, was invited to speak at the workshop. Workshop participants included members of the project team and students of different grades from the Department of SCM. Through presentation and group discussion at the workshop, the guest speaker and participants shared the best practice, local cases and common tools on beverage product carbon footprint. Final year students said this workshop was very useful in preparing for their final year projects.
