The reception started with remarks by President Simon S M Ho and Dr Brossa Wong, Acting Dean of the School of Business. The President congratulated the student champions, whose remarkable performance reflected the “Desired Graduate Attributes iGPS” emphasised in the College’s education. Dr Brossa Wong extended her congratulations to the winning teams and paid tribute to the coaching teachers and students. She was delighted that HSMC students had been making continuing advancements.
To acknowledge the students’ distinguished achievements, a Certificate of Recognition was presented to each of them. The champion teams then shared with the guests their experiences and reflections throughout the learning journey. Both teams expressed their gratitude to the College for providing support and recognising their efforts. Besides, the different stages and challenges of the competitions enabled them to realise their full potential. Their common keys to success were – possessing a “never give up” attitude, having sufficient preparations for the competition and the opponents, being responsive to changing challenges and supportive to team members. Last but not least, they were grateful to their coaching teams for the guidance and support all the way. Coaching teachers and students were impressed by the students’ determination and exemplifying performance.
The joyous occasion came to an end with the champion teams taking pictures and interacting with their family members, teachers and guests. It was hoped that their valuable and rewarding experiences would be another source of motivation for HSMC students to work harder and scale new heights.
