In appreciation of the generous donation from Ho & Fung Charitable Foundation Limited to support the construction of New Academic Building at West Lane and the renovation of a “Technology-enriched Collaborative Classroom”, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held the Naming Ceremony of “Ho & Fung Foundation Hall” on 27 October 2022. The officiating guests included Mr Louis Ho, Mrs Judy Ho and Ms Elaine Ho, directors of Ho & Fung Charitable Foundation Limited; and Professor Simon S. M. Ho, President of HSUHK.
In his welcome remarks, President Ho conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Ho & Fung Charitable Foundation for their contribution. With the donation, the University would continue to work hard to carry out more innovative teaching and student development initiatives, and is committed to realising its vision to become a leading private liberal-arts-oriented university in Hong Kong.
Ms Elaine Ho commended HSUHK for its enthusiasm for higher education. She said the University had attached great importance to whole-person education. The Foundation anticipated further collaboration with HSUHK and mutual exchange in nurturing more talented young people for our community in the years to come.
The Ho & Fung Foundation Hall is located on the fourth floor of S H Ho Academic Building, the North Campus of HSUHK. The hall is well-equipped and its movable partition walls can flexibly transform its space into an ideal venue for lectures, seminars, talks, and exhibitions. Enjoying beautiful scenery through the windows, both lecturers and students can immerse themselves in this scenic green environment conducive to inspiring teaching and learning.
