The ‘Wofoo Leaders’ Network Best Awards 2019’ was presented in the Wofoo Leaders’ Network Annual Conference 2020 cum the 10th Integrated Wofoo Leaders’ Network Inauguration Ceremony on 28 November 2020.
The 3rd HSUHK Wofoo Leaders’ Network (HSUHKWLN) ‘飛恒棋’ was awarded the ‘Best Chapter’ and the ‘Best President’ in the ‘Wofoo Leaders’ Network Best Awards 2019’. The Best Chapter Award was judged according to the effectiveness of the annual activity proposal, the communication between the Student Executive Committee and members, and the co-operation with other Chapters. Under the guidance of three WLN Advisors including Mr Mickey Tong, Mr Eric Hui and Mr Vincent Ng, five Student Executive Committee Members of HSUHKWLN, namely Mr Kelson Chan, President; Mr Ricky Yan, Internal Vice President; Ms Yaffa Chui, External Vice President; Ms Shining Sun, Treasurer; and Ms Keira Fang, Secretary, introduced new plans to build bonding between members and to bring out the core values of WLN: Love and Care, Respect, Inclusiveness, Responsibility and Integrity, by organising different activities. During their appointment term, there were significant increase in the number of members, and they organised joint activities with other Chapters for HSUHK students. They were awarded the ‘Best Chapter’ Gold Award as a recognition of their proactiveness and effectiveness. Mr Kelson Chan also won the ‘Best President’ Silver Award for his outstanding performance in his proactiveness, personal growth and leadership skills. Kelson said, “It’s my honour to win the Best Chapter for HSUHKWLN with my team. During the difficult time brought by the social movement and the pandemic, we encountered and overcome a lot of challenges. We strived to organised different activities for our members and HSUHK students in different ways. To be creative and eager for improvement, we built a new image to HSUHKWLN.”
In the meantime, Mr Ricky Yan has taken up the role of President for the 10th Integrated Wofoo Leaders’ Network. In the Inauguration Ceremony, he shared the theme of this year ‘Connect’, hoping to reinforce the connection between Chapters and to strengthen the network together in the coming year.
