Students of the School of Communication (SCOM) of HSUHK achieved outstanding results again in China Daily Hong Kong’s 2021 Campus Newspaper Awards (CNA). Among over 770 works from more than 2,000 students of 54 renowned higher education institutions in the Cross-strait region received this year, SCOM students’ garnered 5 prominent awards, including the Champion of the ‘Best in News Reporting (Chinese)’!
China Daily Hong Kong launched the CNA in 2012 to promote campus news and media outlets. It aims to provide training of news writing and media-production skills for students, and provide a platform for them to communicate and exchange ideas with peers from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The event is held every year, and this year marks its 10th anniversary.
A panel of about 100 judges, which comprised political leaders, business elites, academics and veteran journalists from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, ultimately selected 76 entries across 24 award categories covering various areas as the award winners.
