2 September 2024

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) started its new academic year today. To welcome students and kick off their campus life in a vibrant and interactive atmosphere, a series of exciting activities, including booths and student performances were staged on campus. HSUHK’s management team, including Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), Professor Hui Yen-van, Acting Vice-President (Organisational Development); Ms Antonia Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Development and Campus Services); Dr John Leung, Associate Vice-President (Knowledge Exchange), and Ms Jessie Wong, Acting Director of Student Affairs, greeted staff and students and handed out Hong Kong-style snacks.

This academic year, more than 1,900 undergraduate freshmen and over 670 postgraduate students were admitted to HSUHK. In his welcome video, Professor Simon Ho, President of HSUHK, encouraged students to strengthen their personal growth by joining a wide range of experiential learning activities including overseas exchange, internships, service-learning, leadership training, University sports teams, and music groups, among others. President Ho believes that with HSUHK’s award-winning green campus and residential college system, students will enjoy learning both inside and outside the classrooms. These experiences will also help them enhance their competencies, develop their passions and potentials, and enable them to discover their life values.
