The Honours Academy (HA) held its Inauguration Ceremony for the 4th cohort on 20 October 2023. This occasion marked the official induction of 16 aspiring new students, with the University management, Professional and Academic Fellows, faculty members, staff and parents in attendance.
Taking the stage, the HA students led an engaging programme, from the traditional pinning ceremony and cohort-to-cohort gifting, to a highly energetic musical performance with the message “We are all in this together”.
To honour their generous contribution, HA’s Professional and Academic Fellows were invited to participate in a symbolic “grow a starry tree” ceremony, adorning the stage with golden stars that represent their support and blessings to the new cohort. Council Chairman Dr the Hon Moses Cheng and President Ho also encouraged HA students to create positive impacts in society by embracing service leadership. The ceremony concluded with a tea reception where the newest members of the HA family celebrated the beginning of their three-year interdisciplinary HA journey.
