Executive Development Centre of Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) organises a series of leadership training courses for the senior management and corporate executives from September to December 2016.
Training on Leadership in Action II – “What Makes a Great Leader” was successfully held on 10 September 2016 at HSMC. This second session was delivered by Prof James Tsien, Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank of Shanghai (HK) Ltd, former Group Executive Director of Hutchison Port Holdings Ltd. & Adjunct Professor of HSMC; Mr Sunny Wong, Executive Director of Tibet Water Resources Ltd and former Chairman of Carlsberg Greater China; and Dr Victor Ng, Senior VP of Global Top 5 bank.
During the training, the 3 elite speakers shared their invaluable professional experience in leadership with the participants, who were inspired by their knowledge and hearty sharing in helping to nurture the new leaders particularly working in multi-cultural environment. With over 40 years of experience with multinational corporations and repeated track records of leading global projects, Prof James Tsien shared his previous working tips. Mr Sunny Wong, who was once described as “Probably the Best Leadership with the World” by HR Magazine (March 2008 edition), talked about heartfelt leadership with illustrations from his real life cases. Dr Victor Ng has rich experience in banking and finance industry with remarkable achievement in handling major M& A projects. He shared his leadership skills in a complex Sino-US cultural organisation, and how to develop leaders through the 5E model.
