Module Description
This course provides students with important knowledge and skills on the security and safety on civil aviation industry, including air cargo and passenger transportation. The principles of risk management and knowledge on the security and safety framework from international policies to local best practices. This course provides important knowledge on security and safety which affecting daily operation performance and compliance.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- examine the importance, and development of aviation security and safety;
- acquire skills in compliance to local and international aviation security and safety regulations;
- integrate the knowledge, skills and tools required in solving strategic and operational issues encountered in civil aviation safety and security in various modes;
- handle complex phenomena and problems in the context of civil aviation operations and policy; and
- evaluate practice cases in civil aviation safety and security issues and understand recent trends in transportation.
