Module Description
This module covers techniques of business process analysis, improvement and change management. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is a technique that reviews existing processes, radically redesigns and implements new processes, so as to dramatically improve companies' performance. Change Management is crucial to the success of businesses and an emphasis is placed on the perspective of Social Psychology, which facilitates the implementation of changes in firms.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- analyze business processes to identify process bottlenecks;
- describe the nature and illustrate the characteristics of different process improvements and innovation paradigms;
- differentiate and evaluate the process and organization of implementing process improvement and innovation; and
- generate and assess feasible changes to problematic processes with the facilitation of proper change management strategy.
