Module Description
SCM4304 Honours Project I & II
The aim of the module is to provide a chance for students to exercise their independent learning by identifying the areas of interest in SCM and develop their expertise by defining the topic of research and consolidate their findings in the form of a report.
SCM4308 Senior Year Project
The aim of the module is to let students apply and integrate their knowledge and skills learnt from their attended modules via conducting projects that are related to the practices/processes or systems of the SCM, logistics and transportation industry.

- develop creative thinking in the study area of SCM;
- know how to define a problem or research area in SCM;
- use their analytical and problem-solving skills to solve a SCM-related problem;
- present their findings from literature, observation, interview, etc. convincingly; and
- compile an individual Honours Project Report as their contribution to knowledge in the field of SCM.
Upon completion of SCM4308, students should be able to:
- critique the current industrial practices, processes or systems with new insights and creative thinking in the study area(s);
- identify and define problems related to SCM, logistics or transport industry;
- apply effective analytical and problem-solving skills to explore and analyze industry-related problems; and
- provide feasible solutions to address the identified problems based upon the findings from literature, observation, interview or any other effective means.
