Module Description
The module is developed for students studying business or commerce or information technology at undergraduate level. This is an essential course to keep pace with technology, strategy and adoption. A structured approach to review, plan and select digital business and digital commerce strategies for service industry.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- apply the basic concepts of database, IT infrastructure and the most common information systems of today in order to select an appropriate type of digital business system for the relevant work context in the marketplace;
- learn the basis of e-Commerce (such as model, pricing and marketing) and apply the knowledge to start a company in the digital world;
- be able to match digital business models with technologies through understanding the importance of information systems in today’s business world;
- apply simple techniques to the development of architecture of digital business systems; and
- be able to recommend the appropriate IT strategies to different business settings
