Module Description
The module is designed for students who have completed French I. It aims to help students develop rudimentary skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking in daily life situations. Students are introduced to various aspects of French culture (e.g. work and friends). At the end of the semester, students are expected to have acquired a basic understanding of tenses and usage of French in daily life settings.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- use complex conversational skills and formats in various social settings
- ask questions and give answers in different forms to complete simple tasks
- describe or express movement, activities and immediate needs in present and past time with relevant vocabularies
- understand the cultural meaning of selected social behaviours
- apply grammatical rules and principles of tenses and prepositions
- write a short paragraph in French
