This module is designed for students in pursuit of business, finance, marketing and
related fields of study. This module aims to enable students to explain the theories
of designing, developing, and maintaining a quality database. It helps students to
develop an understanding of the role of data and information in the business
environment.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. explain relational database concepts and design a relational database in business environment;


2. formulate SQL queries on the data for daily operation in business ;


3. Appraise how database technology can improve businesses;


4. design relational database using ER diagrams and normalization.
