Year of Study: | 4 |
Credit Units: | 3 |
Duration: | 45hours |
Prerequisites: | CMT3001 Interactive Web Service Technology |
Module Description
This module aims to explore techniques, algorithms and principles of 3D graphics. The students will study the fundamental principles of computer graphics and 3D graphics applications, such as video games, data visualizations, and simulations. Practical works are included for designing and implementing 3D application based on Maya or relevant tools.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- identify and describe the fundamentals of 3D graphics;
- analyse requirements and constraints of modelling, shading, illumination and rendering;
- design and develop 3D graphics using suitable tools; and
- use graphics programming skills and knowledge to develop interactive 3D graphics applications.
