The module examines the relationship between technology, the individual and society. It focuses on the causes and consequences of technological change in order to achieve a more balanced view of the power of technology and its impacts on our lives in different settings.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. identify and evaluate the relationship between technology, society and the individual;
   
   


2. analyse the impact of rapid technological development on daily life;
   
   


3. formulate ideas on how we can use technology properly to upgrade our quality of life; and
   
   


4. achieve a balanced view on the analysis of the development of technology in the 21st century.
