Module Description
This module aims to equip students with fundamental knowledge and practical techniques in planning and managing public relations campaigns. By conceiving, researching, creating, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive communication plan, students understand how various components work cohesively in a campaign that helps to communicate a message effectively. Through the group project and presentation, students are provided with the opportunities for a significant persuasive communication experience.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- understand the importance of strategy and planning in public relations and develop the ability to think strategically;
- demonstrate their leadership and organizational skills in performing a campaign management role;
- plan and execute public relations campaigns; and
- develop written and oral communication skills, particularly in relation to writing campaign plans and presenting a pitch for campaigns.
