Module Description
This module aims to equip students with fundamental knowledge of health communication. Students will be able to grasp a basic understanding of health communication theories and practice. They will also learn to communicate health information and messages strategically and persuasively to targeted publics for the purpose of promoting public health.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- illustrate fundamental theoretical perspectives and concepts in health communication;
- examine current issues and topics in health communication;
- apply effective message design and communication strategies to health promotion; and
- understand the ethical issues in health communication.
