Module Description
This module aims to expose students to the current trends in Actuarial Studies and Insurance. It emphasises to broaden the students’ knowledge by teaching them the concepts, theories and methodologies used in actuarial and insurance industries. Students can apply the acquired skills and techniques to solve a range of problems in Actuarial Studies and Insurance. The topics vary according to the expertise and interests of module coordinator.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- possess the current concepts, theories and methodologies used in actuarial and/or insurance industries;
- apply the acquired skills and techniques to solve a range of problems in actuarial studies and/or insurance;
- interpret and convey the results of the problems in actuarial studies and/or insurance accurately.
