Module Description
This course is an introduction to the components of computer graphics and digital media. Students will learn the concepts and techniques for the preparation of electronic art and design for the purpose of visual communication. Topics include digital typography, illustration techniques, scanning/digital imaging, digital color theory, file format preparation, layout and composition using the computer as an integral tool for design.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- Design visual communications of an intended message, from conceptual development to final artifact using a range of digital media, for final output both printed and digital
- Propose graphic communication solutions through the use of computer technology used in the field.
- Evaluate the aesthetic content of artistic works;
