Module Description
The module examines the relationships between cyber technologies, cyber ethics and society. It focuses on the causes and consequences of the change in cyber technologies in order to examine the moral responsibility of cyber world participants in a wide range of daily life cyber ethics issues. Cyber ethics is regarded as the analysis of the nature and social impact of computer technology and the corresponding formulation and rationalization of codes for the ethical use of such cyber technologies. It explores how cyber technologies affect society in various aspects such as culture, economic, education and government.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- identify and evaluate the relationships between cyber technologies, cyber world and society;
- analyze the impact of the rapid cyber technologies development on daily life;
- analyze the impact of the cyber ethics evolution and social networking;
- critically evaluate how different cyber ethics issues are relevant to our daily life.
