Module Description
This module examines the fundamental components of stakeholder communication and engagement. Students will learn theories and frameworks of stakeholder engagement and learn how engagement works among multiple audiences in different settings. It also equips students with the knowledge and strategies of developing and managing stakeholder relationships which contribute to better business planning and performance.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- understand the basic concepts, theories and approaches of stakeholder engagement and communication;
- analyze and apply strategic communication from a stakeholder approach;
- identify and assess key internal and external stakeholders for solving organizational problems or implementing programmes; and
- critically examine the challenges and opportunities of stakeholder engagement through transmedia practices in the era of social media.
