Module Description
This course examines the fundamental components of strategic communications —how to communicate strategically, how to persuade tactfully, and how to do so ethically. It examines various theories of persuasion to help students learn how persuasion works among multiple audiences in different settings.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- understand the basic concepts and theories of strategic communication;
- learn about steps of setting up strategic communication plans;
- examine critically the use of strategic communication in different settings;and
- apply the theories of strategic communication ethically in various contexts.
