The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held its Information Day 2024 today (16 November) to call for admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. The event included admission talks and workshops designed to provide prospective students with the latest information about the University. Prospective secondary school students, senior-year students, non-local Mainland JEE students, and their parents attended the event. Participants also took the opportunity to apply and complete assessments on-site. Those who met the eligibility criteria will have the chance to receive first-round conditional offers this December.
Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) of HSUHK, hosted an admission talk where he introduced the University’s latest developments and its distinctive “Liberal + Professional” education model. The event also included a keynote talk titled “Selection Strategies for Undergraduate Programmes” by Mr Raymond Ip, a representative from the Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Masters. During his talk, Mr Ip shared insights on the 2024 admission data and offered strategies for selecting undergraduate programmes.
Over 30 themed trial lessons and interactive workshops were held during Information Day, as well as programme exhibitions, student life tours, admission talks, and campus tours, including “Bloomberg Game – Using the Bloomberg Terminal To Discover Financial Market Information”; a Hands-on Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI); “Management Workshop – A Rookie’s Road to a Good ‘Organisation’ Citizen”; “Creative workshop: Draw your hidden personality”; “Venturing into the Art World: Turning it Upside Down through a Board Game”; and “Video Translation in the Age of AI”, among others. These activities allowed participants to gain first-hand experience of HSUHK’s diverse learning opportunities and teaching facilities.
The five schools of HSUHK include Business, Communication, Decision Sciences, Humanities and Social Science, and Translation and Foreign Languages, offer a total of over 20 undergraduate programmes and more than 10 taught postgraduate programmes. Several undergraduate programmes provided by HSUHK are eligible under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors in Hong Kong (SSSDP) for the 2025-26 academic year, including Art and Design, Supply Chain Management, Management Science and Information Management, Actuarial Studies and Insurance, Applied Computing, Data Science and Business Intelligence. A subsidy will be provided to new entrants and continuing students of the SSSDP programmes who meet the criteria.
