26 September 2024

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held its “HSUHK Careers Connections Day 2024-25” over two days, with over 60 esteemed enterprises from Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and around the globe, as well as government departments participated. The event provided students with numerous full-time and internship opportunities, connecting them with leading organisations and paving the way for their future careers.

The Career Connection Day included a series of special lectures and activities, inviting industry leaders to share valuable insights on the latest workplace trends and career development opportunities. These sessions allowed students to explore various industry options, enhance their skills, and seize future growth prospects.

Professor Simon S M Ho, President of HSUHK, expressed gratitude to local government departments and industry partners for their ongoing support and recognition of the University. With its unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, the University provides students with an optimal learning environment and state-of-the-art facilities, especially with the opening of the “Creative Humanities Hub” in March 2024 and the recent launch of “The Create” in West Kowloon Cultural District. Professor Ho hopes that students are well equipped to navigate future challenges in life and work, mastering transferrable professional competencies, professionalism and ethics essential for their respective fields.

Professor Jeanne Fu Ho-ying, the Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), stated that the event allowed the University to closely engage with industry partners, with the aim to create more internship and recruitment opportunities for students. She hopes this event offered students an ideal platform to facilitate their early integration into the workplace, thereby enhancing their employability and competitiveness.

HSUHK Careers Connections Day 2024-25 brings over 60 well-known companies and government departments on campus to meet with prospective students.
