Organised by the School of Decision Sciences and the Big Data Intelligence Centre, the Decision Analytics Outstanding Award Ceremony 2023 was held on 8 July 2023 at the Fung Yiu King Hall, HSUHK. Outstanding companies that adopt decision analytics invention and applications (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Internet-of-things, Virtual Reality, among others) are recognised at the Awards for their business impact. Over 100 participants including practitioners, academics and research fellows joined the event.

The guest of honour, Ir Dr Hon Lo, GBS, MH, JP, LegCo (Engineering), HKSAR, shared his views and inspirations on the data driven economy. Dr Hon Johnny Ng, MH, JP, LegCo, President Simon Ho and Dean Chan Wai-sum presented awards to the winning companies.

This year, a total of 11 companies (6 large enterprises and 5 small and medium businesses) won Decision Analytics Outstanding Awards. The judging panel members, comprising renowned experts and professionals in the field evaluated the capability of companies based on four criteria:

• Management Strategy of Data Driven Decision
• Shown Case of Data Driven Decision Impact
• Robust Methodology of Decision Analytics
• Alternative Data in Future Plan
