A Supply Chain Decarbonisation Workshop III on decision support tools for sustainability and operations efficiency in logistics industry was conducted in Hang Seng Management College on 28 March 2015 (Saturday). It was a half-day workshop organised by the Department of Supply Chain Management from a funding research project supported by the Research Grant Council fund. The project aims to develop a carbon footprint tool kit including decision support tools for sustainability and operations efficiency. The first distinguished guest speaker, Mr Mikael Arhlger, Managing Director from Sew Access (Far East) Ltd was invited to have a project experience sharing on the implementation of simulation tools to improve operation efficiency and carbon emission in logistics firms. The second distinguished guest speaker, Ms Serena Li, Consultant from Turnkey Solutions was invited to share decision support sustainability software on cost and environmental performance for logistics industry. The participants included project team members from the final year students of Hang Seng Management College, representatives of pilot companies, and students from Department of Supply Chain Management. The workshop series is fully supported by Research Grant Council of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, China (Project Reference No: UGC/FDS14/B20/14).
