Summer Internship Sharing Session held by the School of Communication
During the summer of 2014, students from theSchool of Communication were successfully employed as interns for 2-3 months at25 organisations after passing the competitive interviews at school and theorganisations. Students from Business Journalism concentration were hired asIntern Reporters in some local media, while students from Corporate Communicationconcentration worked at the departments of marketing, public relations orcorporate communication in well-known corporations. Students practised whatthey have learned at school and gained positive comments and affirmation fromthe organisations and companies.
In order to understand students’ learningoutcome, the School of Communication held Summer Internship Sharing Sessions on12 and 19 November 2014 respectively. Students who joined the internshipprogramme were invited to share their valuable experience, sweet and sour oftheir internship as well as the fruitful results. Moreover, students who are interestedin joining the internship programme in the coming summer also joined thesharing session in order to get some advices from the seniors and to bewell-prepared for the upcoming challenges.
