Shenzhen Delegation’s Visit to HSMC
A Shenzhen delegation of 10 high school presidents and teachers from Luofang, Songquan and Wenjin secondary schools paid a visit to Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) on 19 Apr 2012.
Under the cooperation by HSMC and Dr Frank Tam Wai-ming from the Department of Educational Administration and Policy of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the visit aimed at providing a platform for Shenzhen teachers and teachers from Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC) to exchange their ideas on teaching issues. The delegation would also like to borrow experience from HSSC, the so-called “cradle of champions”.
During the welcoming speech, Dr. Chui Hong-sheung, President of HSMC said: “Although Shenzhen and Hong Kong have different education systems, I still think that this would help to trigger some new thoughts during our exchange.” Dr Chui pointed out that HSSC has been insisting on the quality of teaching staff and the cultivation of commerce specialists: “We hope we can grow gradually from the ‘cradle of champions’ to a private university,” he said.
At the end of the visit, Mr Ling Zhi-wei, President of Songquan Secondary School, Mr Pi Ai-min, President of Wenjing Secondary School and Mr Xie Ze-fu, Vice-President of Luofang Secondary School all expressed their wish to send their graduates to HSMC for higher education.
