Mock Press Conference

To put theory into practice, the students of the module TRA3103 Public Relations Translation hosted a series of mock press conferences in the beginning of May. According to their assigned topics, students in groups conducted thorough research and produced comprehensive, bilingual press kits. When the big day came, the students, all dressed in smart suits, took the stage and “faced the music”. In various capacities such as medical professionals, government officials and company managers, the students were confronted with difficult questions posed by journalists, who were also played by their fellow classmates. Their quick wit and product knowledge, and most importantly, their communication skills, were put to test.
