A delegation from the Department of Supply Chain Management paid a three-day visit to three higher education institutions in Guangzhou from 7 to 9 December 2012.
The HSMC delegation consisted of four members: Professor Lee Tien-sheng, Vice-President (Academic and Research) and Programme Director of Department of Supply Chain Management; Dr. Collin Wong and Dr. Stephen Ng, Administration Head and Deputy Programme Director respectively of the Department of Supply Chain Management; and Dr. Kenneth Kwong, Assistant Professor of the Department of Marketing and Management.
The delegation visited the Business School of South China University of Technology (SCUT), Lingnan (University) College of Sun Yat-sen University (SYS-U), and Guangzhou Campus of Guangdong University of Business Studies (GUBS). The purpose of the visit was to gain a better understanding of the latest development of the host institutions and to share recent research findings with scholars and academic staff there. Professor Lee was also invited to speak on the topic “Change Management and I-ching (Book of Change) Philosophy” at a forum organized by the MBA Education Centre of South China University of Technology on 8 December 2012.
The delegation believes that the visit can facilitate academic collaborations and create opportunities for future student exchange programmes, which would mutually benefit HSMC and the participating institutions.
