The first talk was given by Mr. Gordon Lam, the Vice President of Li & Fung Development (China) Limited and Fung Business Intelligence Centre. Mr. Lam was invited to share the topic of “Supply Chain Management and Operations Management in Enterprises”.During the seminar, he discussed the history and success stories of Li & Fung Company, which diligently maintains its credibility by strengthening its logistics capabilities in worldwide sourcing, production and delivery of goods. He also provided inspiring answers to the questions from the audience. The full-house talk was very well-received, and more than 80 students and staff attended this seminar.
The second seminar was organized jointly by the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council (HKYIC), Public Relations Office and SCM Department on March 28. Two key speakers from HKYIC were Ms. Clara Chan (CEO Of Lee Kee Holdings Limited) and Mr. Paul Tai (Regional Director of Mainetti Group). They gave a remarkable presentation on “The Challenges in Today’s Supply Chain and Management”. They shared their success stories in establishing business opportunities and dealing with current challenges in the industries. They also showed our students how to prepare for job interviews. This seminar was ended with an introduction to the HKYIC Internship Scheme.
