In order to broaden students’ horizon and cultivate their sense of social development, 20 students of School of Communication (SCOM),accompanied by 4 academic staff, Professor Trevor Siu, Dr Keith Cheung, Ms Glacial Cheng and Ms Eileen Chua, visited the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (the Park) on 22 February 2017.
The SCOM teaching staff and students were given a Science Explorer Tour about the latest development of science and technology. They visited “Professor Charles K. Kao: Father of Fibre Optics Communication”showcase, Green Trail and Green Concepts @ Green 18, to learn the application and development of fibre optics, as well as other green and sustainable technology.
They also experienced a fun-filled exploration inside thePark. Students expressed that they had learnt a lot about the knowledge of environmental protection and innovation through this tour.
