22 December 2016
In November, Old Hall invited Tony, a balloon artist to teach residents the basic skills for balloon twisting. Participants then arrived at the Residential Colleges to share their new talents with other residents. On 22 December 2016, residents visited Emmanuel Church Shatin Nursery School to share joy and happiness with kids, from aged 2 to 6, on the day of their school Christmas party.
During the event, around 150 kids drew a card from the gift box. HSMC students made different shapes of balloons for them, which included a dog, as word, a flower, an arch with string, etc. It was a challenging task for the HSMC students, but we were blessed to see the lovely smiles on the kids’ faces.
In addition to this festive encounter, HSMC students actively participate in community events in the neighborhood. For example, two Student Ambassadors served as masters of ceremonies at the Kwong Yuen Christian Culture Week on 26 November 2016, to create a harmonious relationship with our neighbors.
