The Second Departmental Seminar Held by the Department of Chinese

The Department ofChinese of the Hang Seng Management College held the second departmental seminar on25 February 2016. Doctor Tan Mei Ah presented a speech, “Debate on theEnfeoffment of Princes in Tang China.” The speech was divided into two parts.The first part focused on the debate that concerns the enfeoffment of princesas recorded in historical records. The second part discussed how such a topicwas treated in various literary genres, in which she proposed new researchfindings on the interpretation of three literary pieces that were composedduring the mid-Tang. Head and Chair Professor Cheung Kwong Yue hosted the seminar. In an amiable atmosphere, he encouragedintellectual exchange and the pursuit of knowledge.
