Junzi Corporation Award Presentation Ceremony 2015
In a celebratory atmosphere, the Junzi Corporation Award Presentation Ceremony 2015 was successfully held on 7 December 2015.
The Survey evaluates the extent to which corporations’ actions are in accordance with the Confucian concepts of Junzi and its five virtues, namely “Ren”, “Yi”, “Li”, “Zhi”, “Xin”. It reflects the genuine perception of the Hong Kong public regarding business ethics.
For the five consecutive year, the College has long been organising and supporting the quest of a meaningful large-scale public survey — the Junzi Corporation Survey. Organising parties include Marketing Department of the School of Business, School of Communication, Communications and Public Affairs Office, the 5th Marketing Society and the 4th Students Association of Journalism and Communication.
We were greatly honoured to have guests from various academic and business backgrounds, including Mr Pang Yiu Kai, Chairman of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and Chief Executive of Hongkong Land Holding Limited, as our officiating guest, Ms Susanna Chiu, Director of Li & Fung Development (China) Limited, Dr Lawrence Pang, Founding President of the Society of Chinese Wisdom & Management and Dr Ricky Szeto, CEO of Hung Fook Tong Holdings Limited and Administrative Head of Department of Business Administration of Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
“HSMC HK Buisness Ethis Index” is launched this year, using random sampling method to conduct the survey in 18 districts of Hong Kong. The index reflects genuine perception of the Hong Kong public regarding business ethics towards seven major industries, including media, finance, retail, catering, tourism, real estate and public services. This is one of the most important research results of the survey.
This year there were a total of 24 awards, with 21 companies receiving Junzi Corporation Award, among which 3 received the Junzi Corporation Exemplary Award. The awardees are listed below:
