The BA-CHI programme aims to provide academic and professional trainingfor students to master all areas of Chinese knowledge, including but notlimited to literature, cultural knowledge and theories, as well as the use ofChinese. Students are expected to apply such knowledge to the workplace and inacademic research.
The HSMC Programme Consultation Day 2015 was held on the 4 July 2015. Professors fromthe Department of Chinese explained the programme design and its principlesbehind, and illuminated its distinctivefeatures. There was also an information counter for answering questions raisedby students and their parents. There were many enquiries about the programme.Students showed great interest, and the atmosphere was lively and encouraging.From the survey done on site and the questionnaires obtained, it could be seenthat the interested parties all agree with the programmme principle of emphasisingon “the blending of tradition and creation, as well as the delivery of academicand practical knowledge.” Students have expressed their strong intention toapply.
